Re: Removing (editing) commercials from soundtrack
proteus459: It may take a while for you to get your head around how Audacity works. Those MP3's and OGG's will be imported into an Audacity project. You don't need LAME to do that. When you are finished editing you will Export the edited version in WAV format for burning to CD. The original MP3's a...

It's a huge archive maintained in San Francisco that contains dozens of media types all made available to the public royalty-free. The music comes from a va...

Re: Removing (editing) commercials from soundtrack

One added question: In the user's manual regarding "Exporting MP3 Files" is a statement that something called a LAME must be downloaded and installed before an edited file can be exported as an MP3. Is it necessary to employ the LAM...

I noticed an icon...

Re: Can Audacity Edit This?
Thanks, that sounds relatively uncomplicated.
Now all that remains is to figure out how to place the labels!

Can Audacity Edit This?
My first visit and my first question... My IT technician suggested Audacity to do some editing I need to do. I have downloaded several public access MP3 files from an archive web site. They are recordings of radio programs. Mixed in among the DJ's banter, the commercials and the public service annou...
