AH-HA! THANK YOU! I went to Preferences, and then Devices, and there it was!
I think I might have put it wrong. What I meant to say was that I got my new sound card to read streaming audio and line input devices, but I couldn't get those signals fed into Audacity. But I have now! Thanks again!

Greetings! The sound card in our computer (Gateway desktop running XP) died recently, rather, it developed horrid distortion.
