I worked my way around it. Converted the file to a .wav in iTunes, then converted it to an .mp3 in audacity. Thanks for your help.

And I did it again... Trying to convert m4a to mp3. When I export, I only get a few bytes of screeching.

I have downloaded the lame_enc.dll file successfully, but when I export my w4a file to mp3, I only get a few seconds of screeching. I have selected the entire song, then clicked the "export selection as mp3". What could I be doing wrong?
