Re: 8 bit, 8 Khz, mono, u-law as a WAV file
I just ran the MediaInfo program against the first file I tried. This was the file that worked. MediaInfo claims the file is 64.0 kbps, 8000 Hz, 8 bits, 1 channel, ADPCM (CCITT) (U-Law) Why was it able to export one file correctly and not the others? Are there any possible config or data files that ...

The second recording I created, my software does not recognize the file as 8 bit, 8kHz, mono, u-law. 3. I have tried s...

Re: 8 bit, 8 Khz, mono, u-law as a WAV file
i created a recording using my USB mic. I recorded in Mono input and Speakers (High Definition). I trimmed the area I wanted to keep. I then did a Export and Save type as Other uncompressed files. I then choose the Options button and choose WAV (Microsoft) in the Header and U-law in the Encoding. I ...

8 bit, 8 Khz, mono, u-law as a WAV file
I am trying to record a greeting for our phone system but the system requires a WAV file with 8 bit, 8 Khz, mono, u-law.
I recorded a file and tried to export but I only see 16 bit.
How can I export to the desired settings above?
Thanks in advance.
