Copying Contents of CD to Audacity
I've successfully used Audacity to copy music from reel-to-reel tapes, so I know the system works. Now, I want to copy contents of CDs to my hard drive. When I copy the actual files directly from the CD and try to play from the hard drive, no luck. So, now want to play the CD and record the music in...

Finally, resolved my problem. Output playback volume was set to ZERO! Didn't matter what place the sound was being directed, I couldn't HEAR it. Voilla, with output volume above zero, I now hear. So, I should be able to edit directly without first converting to MP3 or Wave,

WC, I do what I do (maybe strange) only b/c when I try to play back in Audacity, I hear NOTHING! Not via system speakers nor headphones. Ideas?

As to Koz, still haven't found anything to work.
As to "Wax," not using USB connection; rather, hard wires from deck going into single mini plug in the in-line on PC.
