I'm still stuck... the record button doesn't work, so I tried hitting "R", and nothin'... I have no clue what's wrong.

I'm at a loss. I've been using audacity for a couple of years and this has never happened. When I try to overdub, I get a message saying, " Recording Not Permitted: Recording in CleanSpeech mode is not possible when a track, or more than one project, is already open." I'm not in CleanSpeec...
