My last reply was incomplete. Yes, I have read and reread all. Nothing changes the maxed out input volume. Although, I vaguely remember reading that an ION USB turntable will not work with Audacity in Windows 7. The suggested work around was to use the RCA connectors.

I have never used any version but 1.3. When I used windows XP, I never had any problems. However, this new computer has windows 7, and I have not found any way to lower the input volume. I have read through most of the material and I can't find any answer other than the one I outlined.

I have not found a solution to controlling input volume while using an ION USB turntable with Windows 7. Apparently, this is not easy to do with the current version of Audacity. I believe that the easiest workaround for me is to connect using the RCA connectors through the computer sound card. Has a...
