Gale, You are the best. I just realized that IM never logged on as Administrator. Im sure thats what the problem was. At the apple store for a one on one session. Don't think I need it now. Will let you know f the Admin log on works but that makes perfect sense.

Trevor, Thanks for the response. Just wanted to clarify. I can't install audacity to my application folder. When I try to install it to my applications folder, the message says" Application folder can not be modified". Thanks

I figured out which link I should be using but was not able to install Audacity or the Lame Encoder on my Mac. Was on the phone with apple tech (they are really clueless sometimes) and could not copy or move the files to my application folder. Does anyone know if this is possible with OS X 10.6.8? W...
