I have tried to do this also, by saving an empty project, but the aup file is not created when i go search for it.

Just a quick question, I have installed Audacity version 1.2.6 on a windows xp sp3 machine and just runnng some tests at the moment, One issue I have come accross is, sometimes when I save a project before I beging to record, Choosing File Save Project As for example (Test.aup).
