So what should i do now? I don't quite get it.

Hi. Few days ago, my friend send a me a .aup file through the e-mail. I downloaded it, and wanted it to be played by Audacity. But i don't know, is there something wrong file the file or....? All i hear is and 1/2 a second of 'wierd sound' and it ended. How could that be possible? My friend told me ...
