What happens if you just plain play the CD on your computer with Windows Media Player. Works OK with WMP and itunes Also, how are you getting the performance into Audacity? When finished editing it w/Audacity, i export it to a file. Whether I use itunes, windows media, or audacity it hisses I start by ripping the audio from the cd with itunes. It sounds ok both on the itunes and Audacity. Then I open it w/Audacity and while editing the audio it sounds ok. It's only aft...

I've been using audacity for several months. Our church records a sermon via cd recorder. I open it w/Audacity and then use Audacity to edit it. When finished i export it to a file.
