Re: I cannot record? What am i doing wrong?

That should drive Audacity nuts if it's recording wh...

Re: I cannot record? What am i doing wrong?
nothing even shows up on the little mixing tab next to it. I don't know what you mean. Could you post a screen shot of that? Did you try "Amplifying" the flat line? Look to the right of the 'line in' picture, those bars usually bounce up and down when something is played into the microphone source ...

Re: I cannot record? What am i doing wrong?
Topic moved to the Windows > audacity 1.3.x forum. When you try to record the guitar, do you get a flat blue line like this: firsttrack000.png If you do, try selecting a section in the middle of the track and apply the Normalize effect using "Normalize to: 0 dB". Does the selection remain as a flat...

Re: I cannot record? What am i doing wrong?
I know somebody whose "Record Out" doesn't work. You can test the cables by touching them. Set Audacity to recording and touch the hot end of one of your cables instead of plugging it into the amp -- like this, but your cables may be different. http://kozco.com/tech/audacity/pix/touch.jpg You are i...
