I'm sorry - I thought I mentioned in the second sentence of the post that I'd tried all the stuff in the Wiki. My mistake.

I installed 1.3.5 Beta, and it worked right out of the box.

Audacity crashes with nary a peep on startup. I've carefully gone through the Wiki on running on Vista. My devices are good and accessible, the drivers are all up to date, etc. I tried re-installing, just to be sure. I've tried running both in and out of compatibility mode (using XP SP2 when I tried...
