Never mind, works next day after a restart.
I'm thinking the audacity installation instructions should be revised to advise users to restart PC after installation (like in the old days).

Like the title said. I was was playing music from youtube while installing the newest beta audacity. Suddenly music stopped and I cannot make sound work anymore.
