Removing the three files has fixed the problem. 2.3.0 appears to be running properly now.
Thanks for the help!
Cheers,
Chris

Re: Startup Problems with Audacity 2.3.0 on 10.12.6
The plug-in that was initially causing the problem was 2SVocalRemover - it's available here https://www.kvraudio.com/product/2s-vocal-remover-by-2nd-sense-audio I'm a long-time Audacity and I usually keep the previous version installed just in case there's problems with the latest version. At the mo...

Re: Startup Problems with Audacity 2.3.0 on 10.12.6
Further to the problems I described above, I thought I'd try uninstalling 2CVocalRemover but I couldn't find it! I'm pretty sure I uninstalled it a while ago. Not sure why Audacity would be trying to load it? To try and fix the problem I tried re-installing 2CVocalRemover and it seems to have fixed ...

Startup Problems with Audacity 2.3.0 on 10.12.6
Hi Folks, Just installed Audacity 2.3.0 on OS X 10.12.6. I'm having problems with a couple of plug-ins on startup. Firstly, I'm getting a problem with DTMF Tones: DTMF Tones: Could not load settings below. Default settings will be used. Amplitude="0.800000000000" Duty_Cycle="550.000000000000" Sequen...

Re: Recording from a Multi-Input Interface
Thanks. Thought I might be missing something. You're right, there's probably a way to do this using JackOSX. I'll give it a go.

Recording from a Multi-Input Interface
Hi,
I use an Edirol UA-101 interface for recording. It has eight analog inputs. I can record audio into Audacity using inputs 1 and 2 but I can't figure out how to record using only inputs 3 and 4 - is that possible?
Cheers,
Chris

Re: Removing Electronic Feedback Echoes
Thanks!
I tried using the various suggestions however I couldn't get anything to make much difference.
I actually think what I might need is something like echo cancellation <https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Echo_supp ... ncellation>.
Any thoughts?
Cheers,
Chris
