Which speakers? Speakers built into the BEAMZ hardware or speakers plugged into your computer. If the latter, where do the speakers plug in? Ok my version is 1.2.6, is this an outdated version and does this problem persist or is it fixed in future versions?
And I believe the BEAMZ audio plays through the speakers, not the sound card.

When using BEAMZ, does the sound play through your X-Fi sound card? Could you check the exact version number of your Audacity 1.3.x (Help menu > About Audacity) Is there a "Creative Mixer" icon near the Time/Date on your Desktop?
