Check the documentation for the headset and see if there is a way to disable the feature. If not, then you may need to use a conventional computer microphone/headset that plugs into the sound card. Thanks for your response. Documentation for this product is next to useless. Barring any better ideas...

Headset Problem
I'm using Audacity to record vocals to a XP SP3 PC. It works fine. However, the USB headset I'm using as a microphone (Trust HS-4050), has an annoying habit of letting me hear everything (as it happens) that is being picked up by the mic.
