Thanks for the reply, but I'm confused by some of the terms you used, I've never experienced this kind of problem before and I don't know a whole lot about computer audio either... I went into my settings, changed the rates to the default which is 44100h, and it didn't fix it. I went into audacity, ...

I'm running vista home premium, 32bit. It's a steelseries 4H, a relatively nice headset. I bought a cheap new sound card a couple months ago cause my nice one broke, I'm not sure if that could have something to do with it.
