Re: Recordings break up badly on play back
So when I set the buffer to a higher number the latency is really bad. Is there a way where I can set the buffer higher but correct the latency?

Re: Recordings break up badly on play back
With regards to changing the buffer settings I get confused. So should I set it to a higher number than 100 to help ease the load on my CPU? If so, what is a reasonable number I should set it to?

Re: Recordings break up badly on play back
I don't recall having this issue when I was using an older version of Audacity, but when I upgraded my PC to Windows 7 I noticed it said that the older version of Audacity was not supported and that only 1.3 was so I began using 1.3 after loading Windows 7. I have 4 Gigs of RAM so I should be ok wit...

Re: Sound is breaking up badly during play back.
Thanks for the reply. I never had this problem before but I noticed it started after I loaded Windows 7 and started using the latest beta Audacity 1.3 version. I also use Adobe Audition and have never had this problem either. You think there is a bug in the program??

Re: Sound is breaking up badly during play back.
Rather than trying to describe what my problem sounds like, I though I'd post this link so you can hear what I'm talking about. It doesn't happen all the time but pretty frequently I must admit. It will happen right in the middle of a song for no apparent reason. Take a listen and I'd love to hear e...

Re: Sound is breaking up badly during play back.
I use Audacity to record my DJ mixes. I have a Macbook Pro (Unibody), Presonus Audiobox Audio/Midi Interface connected to a Rane TTM 57SL mixer. I'm using monster RCA cables which use an RCA to 1/4" adapter. I'll check for the video/audio conferencing setting. If you have any other ideas, please let...

Recordings break up badly on play back
I'm using Windows 7 and when I record a song or record anything for that matter, the sound starts to break up and sound almost like static right in the middle of the recording for no apparent reason. This problem does not happen every time and its very intermittent. When I'm recording everything sou...

Re: Clicking and popping noise and play back speed changed!
Ok so I tried dragmenting my HD and no luck. I don't think the drivers got updated either because I didn't do anything to update them. Also my tascam midi/audio interface is pretty old so I don't think there are any more updates for that. Just so weird how the tempo can speed up and slow down slight...

Re: Clicking and popping noise and play back speed changed!
I tried defragmenting my hd and had no luck. Its so weird. In addition to the snaps, pops and crackles, why would the recording be speeding up and then slowing down during play back for no reason out of the blue when it was working fine before? Although the speed does not drastically change you can ...
