what should be the ffmpeg file version for 1.3 beta(unicode) ? where can I get it ? Or how can I recognize it ? I tried several avformat-52.dll files but 'ffmpeg library not found' doesn't goes off... using Windows XP Professional 2010.

Great ! Finally it worked. Thanks a lot. But one thing I don't understand, Why ver 3.98.4 23_3_10 that I mentioned earlier didn't work ? If I want to save audacity 1.3 beta in different drive should I send lame seperately and install it as I did for this one ?

Actually I tried all the versions of lame available including
lame3.98.4-float
lame3.98.4_23.3.10
lame3.98.4-libsndfile
lame3.99.b0
