I installed a $10 sound card I picked up on ebay and it works great!
Thanks!

Re: Unable to record using XPPro
Duh! I knew that. Happened to me before awhile ago. You've got a feed-back loop going on.
Yes, turning off the pass through works, so at least I have a kludge to make it work.
In parallel, I'm buying a PCI sound card on ebay, will try that for the long term solution.
Thanks!

Re: Unable to record using XPPro
When you say "selecting WAV input", I assume you mean Audacity | Edit | Preferences | Input? I see no WAV input I can select. When I pull down input device, my options are: MME: Microsoft Sound Mapper MME: Realtek HD Audio Input And I have checked: -Play other tracks while recording new on...

I've also been a hardware and soft...

Real-audio probably won't help, one of our applications is to record the audio fr...

Re: Unable to record using XPPro
I was wondering if I could add a 3rd party sound card (Soundblaster?) that might have that capability.

Re: Unable to record using XPPro
Is there any way to determine whether a particular system/sound card can do streaming audio recording or not before buying the system and then finding out it's deficient? I've bought 2 PCs (1 Vista laptop and 1 XP desktop), both have Realtek sound and neither can stream audio record. Maybe Realtek s...
