Cannot debug these weird clicks
For all who have responded to my requests about the strange clicks I get a certain edit points, I would very much like to upload a sample, or email it to those who might want to check it out. I have zoomed in to the sample points and the clicks DO NOT APPEAR. But they are quite apparent in the audio...

Re: Clicks created at each edit point
Hope this doesn't offend this forum's protocol, but I am re-posting this thread from the "zero-crossing point" because I am so frustrated by this clicking - and am much in need of some help. I am still getting these clicks at each edit point. These clicks do not show up on the waveform - not even wh...

OK, thanks very much. But here's the thing: I am still getting these clicks at each edit point. These clicks do not show up on the waveform - not even when I zoom in to the finest detail. "Zero Crossing Point" - from Koz - ??
Koz, intrigued by the notion that one must do an edit at a "zero crossing point." I assume this is where the waveform approaches 0 db - right?
How then does one do an edit if there is significant background noise (like the government truck I conducted the interview with Joseph Nyabire?

Re: Clicks created at each edit point
Thanks for all the suggestions. I am doing a rough edit for a radio documentary for the CBC (Canadian Broadcasting Corporation) on the Spirit Children of Africa (kids accused of being witches and are murdered as a consequence). I am not amplifying the clips and I have not normalized the source tape....

Clicks created at each edit point
This has never happened to me before - but I am now getting a click at each edit point. It's strange - the clicks do not show up on the waveform but are very clear and loud on playback. Any suggestions?
