Can I un-equalize it?
I have a bakelite 78 which was recorded (cut) at Grinnel's music store in Detroit in 1951- I don't know what kind of machine did it. This method of personal recordings was popular then. To input the audio to my Windows Vista system, I used a Behringer UFO202 U-Phono device to USB, audio codec, and I...

Re: Red bars in input display
The top two lines read: Default sample rate 44100 Hz Default Sample Format 32 bit float. I don't know what the "Amplify Tool" is. I tried something else, and it seems to do good things- I won't claim it works: In the Control Panel, there is an icon which looks like a speaker. I moused it, and, as lo...

Re: Red bars in input display
THanx for reding my question. Here is what I know- not much. The USB device, which is a Behringer U-Phono UFO-202, has its own preamp, which is one of the reasons I bought it. It has a volume control, which I have turned down as far as it will go. Maybe that control is only for the earphone monitor,...

Red bars in input display
First, you people are excellent! I get far better advice for free even about the Behringer UFO than from the people at Behringer, who are getting paid for it. I am a newbie here, so I apologize for stupid questions. Here is my question: I am using a Behringer UFO device, into a USB port on a Windows...

Old turntable, low volume
I have a Behringer UFO device, and am using Audicity beta running on Vista Home Basic on an eMachines box. I have learned how to use the correct magic settings, and so I am getting recordings through my USB connection from the UFO. Problem is, the volume is so much different between tape deck input ...

Re: Won't grab usb port
Using the USB Audio Codec sort of works, but it is only monophonic. The Behringer device gives stereo. Is there a way to make the CODEC stereo? My dropdown box identifies it as a microphone.

Realtek won't accept USB?
The following is a transaction with the Realtek people, from me. Please tell me what I should have said- I don't believe what they said- it worked once before. Dear Sir, Do you mean you want to record what you hear from your USB audio ? If yes, we are sorry we don't support any "USB" audio because t...

Won't grab usb port
I'm using Vista Home Basic. I have a Behringer UFO device. I had it working once, using Audacity current version. I got the beta version of Audacity, and discovered that now I could only select the Microsoft Sound Mapper- my "Stereo Mix" Realtek High Definition Audio driver wouldn't work anymore. Af...

Scheduling
Are there any plans to provide scheduling a recording? Currently, I must monitor my session by either setting an audible alarm or sitting at my computer and watching the waveform fly by. Or possibly by cutting the file, although this seems to be not so satisfactory.
