I've found using ClickRepair @ 20 works quite well for me. I noticed that at higher settings when listening to the 'noise' being removed, there was often some 'rhythm' (percussion, and sometimes what appeared to be drobo) being filtered. Please let me restate the issue. The volume problem is between CDs that are directly imported into iTunes and an exported audacity file imported into iTunes. The CDs imports are considerably louder. I took the files off the LPs so that they would not clip. I then normalized them and amplified them a...

Imported tunes lose volume
Just started with Audacity. I've imported my LP @ 44100 Hz with 32bit float. When I export them as AIFF or WAV 16 or 24 bit and then back into iTunes the volume is significantly less I followed, to the best of my ability, the workflow described in: http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/Sample_workflow_...
