Well, Steve, i did all you said and then noticed............it said my recording device was my Logitech M9000 web cam.... Before i hooked up the Labtech i was using JUST the webcam mic, got the same "flanged" sound.....then, adding the Labtech, it was the fact that i had two mics recording...

Hi, i am having trouble with my Audacity playback track(s). I have used two different mics, Sony F-V100 AND A Labtech computer mic....(not together obviously) I have been recording single acoustic guitar tracks, bare bones, and when i play the track back it has a slightly muffled/out of phase/flange...
