Ok, thats all i wanted to do was record the output audio. I dont have any midi programs yet with which to use the keyboard as a controller but its got so many different voices i dont really need anything else for now.

OK, i found the driver software and apparently its more of a vista problem then a cord problem. Im going to try it out and see what happens. Ive been having so many compatibility problems with vista though... hardly seems worth all the money i spent on my new laptop.

Yeah its a Roland Synth not just a controller. Ill try to find the software. The guy i bought it from said whatever program i use should be able to record as soon as its plugged in, so i thought i mightve been missing something. Thanks. I just got a keyboard a few days ago and the guy i bought it from also gave me a usb/midi cable to connect the keyboard to the computer for recording. (Im using Vista on my laptop).
