I'm using Audacity 1.3.12 with no luck.
The files are around 980MB so posting a sample for testing is a bit difficult...
Now I have some time on my hands I'm trying all methods of recovery, unfortunatly it looks like
most of the files are lost so far.

imported raw file hissy
I had a bit of a melt down with a drive but managed to recover some of the (now headerless) wav files... When I import them as RAW files they are very hissy, any known work around? I've tried various combo's of offset etc with no luck so far... Please don't suggest I use the noise reduction effect! ...
