You know, I'm using 1.3, and I've just discovered that when I apply, say, compressor, to a track and then copy it and paste it into a new track, it emerges without any compression, in its 'dry' form. Or am I missing something?

I upgraded to 1.3.12 after I discovered that I could not record twice on the same track in the old version.
What I think I'll do, as you suggested, I'll keep a dry version of every track muted, and then delete and replace the wet version if I have to. That should work.

Hmm, my History is always grayed out.
So , what you're saying is that if I close a project and open it again, I will be still able to undo changes made before saving?

Hi there! How do I keep track of the effects I've applied to the track or a clip? I mean, Sonar had an effect tray where you could see all applied effects and delete them if necessary. In Audacity I can't find anything of the kind. By looking at the track I get no idea if any effects are used on it ...
