Solved for now. I mean the program's open and staying open. Back to recording in a little bit (Christmas project for 75 year old father). I need to do the tutorial because it looks like you can do a lot of cool stuff with this. Like make commercials, movie and song snippets, etc. (With proper licens...

Solved!! (worked great for 40 tracks, then it wouldn't open)
My audacity program came with an Ion Profile LP turntable. Windows Vista. I recorded about 40 or 50 tracks from vinyl with it. Worked great. Noise removal, click removal, MP3 export, all of it. Suddenly, it closed in the middle of a recording. Now it refuses to open. I uninstalled, then reinstalled....
