Actually I tried that already. The number I input "stuck" but still seemed to have no effect, even though the little arrows appeared, to indicate latency correction was applied. The recording is not in sync, and neither is my ability to hear myself in real time. I've gone back to using the old versi...

I'm using Mac OS X 10.6.8 and Audacity 2.0.1. I just upgraded the other day. I was using Audacity 1.2.5 for quite a while and everything was fine but alot of info online referred to the new version so I figured I'd better upgrade. I'm using the same equipment and room as before. It's hard to describe what I meant by "raw." Sort of uncompressed, too many highs and lows, a little distortion. After adding reverb, it just sounds exactly the same but with reverb, whereas Sound Sculptor somehow normalized things and they just sound...

I used to use Sound Sculptor, a terrific program that unfortunately only worked under OS 9 and was then abandoned, so I'm trying to give it up. It had lots of presets, so dealing with Audacity is really difficult for a non-audio engineer. But the biggest problem is that the tracks I've recorded with...
