Labels that work on CDs

Am having trouble adding labels to music recordings that will allow me to use a remote and change songs by number (when playing the CD). Have tried a couple ways of numbering each song on a label track, but none works right. Have recorded anywhere from 12 to 29 songs for a single CD. Must be missing...

It appears I'm having the same problem vida experienced. I have recorded from some old cassette tapes. But they burn to a CD as single track. How, then, do you manually separate each song into a separate track? Have looked in the help file (Audacity software) as well as several pages of the download...

Thanks again, to both of you who responded. Have completed recording several songs and burned them to a CD -- using the advice you offered. One other question. You recommended using Microsoft's Media Mgr to burn the CDs. I also have Real Player on my computer. Is this as good, or any better to burn ...
