Your best bet would be to get a Zune or some other digital recorder and then save that to a file on your computer. Then use media player to burn a copy on to a CD or DVD depending on the size. Try going to Audacity preferences Audio I/O and look at the two bottom check boxes.

If you want to "listen" to the old track and "Record" a new track make sure that your options are set up to accomidate that (Same Page) and your sound card options.
