Using Audacity like a Physical Sampler

I was wondering if there is a function in Audacity or a plugin for Audacity that allows you to cue a sample in real time. For instance, let's say I already have a rhythm track. I also have some vocal sample I want to place over this beat in different places. Is there some plugin that would allow me to record placement of that vocal sample while the beat is playing?

No there isn't. Audacity is designed for off-line (not real-time) editing.
