Crossfade Audio Clips on one track [SOLVED]

Hi!

Windows 10 user, first time with AudaCity. In this youtube clip it looks like he is crossfade on one track https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GirVOODszWw . Can you do that, and if you can how to?
I have a big mp3 pre mixed file that I want to edit (several songs within the file). I want do delete some parts and create new crossfade within this file.

thanks
Micke

Hi Micke,
That video was a demonstration of a new plug-in that I made in 2014. The plug-in is now included in Audacity.
If you have an older version of Audacity, you can get the current version from here: http://www.audacityteam.org/download/
Instructions for the effect are in the manual here: http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/crossfade_clips.html

Hi

I have the latest Audacity downloaded yesterday. Under effects I have crossfade tracks not crossfade clip. Crossfade tracks, I have to have 2 tracks, that works with 2 tracks but I only have 1 track.

The version number for Audacity can be found in “Help > About Audacity”.
Audacity 2.1.2 can be downloaded from here: http://www.audacityteam.org/download/windows/

Super, works fine
many thanks
