I created that FLAC file using Audacity running on microsoft windows.

Yes, Audacity can, and so can most good audio players, but notably not Microsoft’s “Windows Media Player” or Apple’s “iTunes” (perhaps they have some vested interest in not supporting open formats )

Okay! New Audacity version [2.0.6] AND yes the noise removal works better!![still lacking though] -Had a hiss problem with this one and EQ didn’t totally fix/well EQ created it/I think/but that’s another story. Anyway, I even tried the strange recommendation by another user to do an obscure EQ pattern around 10k https://forum.audacityteam.org/t/my-bands-new-song-using-audacity/35349/12 AND it did work some–but felt it was cutting high end other too much as well, but it still offered an improvement–but not like NOISE REMOVAL working better.
