I spent a little time tweaking the reverb in Audacity and actually think it's really good. Is it taken from another plug-in? Or created especially for Audacity? Who made it, and can it found in another form, in another plug-in maybe?

The Reverb effect was developed for Audacity by Rob Sykes. It borrows heavily from the reverb effect in SoX (http://sox.sourceforge.net/) which is an implementation of (part of) Freeverb.
