how to cut mp3

I want to cut the first 7 seconds of a song (the song should start from the 7th second) but do not know how, can anybody help me?

Step one should probably be to not use Audacity. Audacity doesn't directly edit MP3 and you can cause sound damage by simple editing like you want to do.

Use MP3Splt or one of the other direct MP3 editors. These can directly cut your song but they have a very simple tool set.

If you don't mind a little loss in sound quality you can edit an MP3 in the same way as any other audio file.

File menu > Import > Audio (to import the MP3 into Audacity)
Select the part that you want to delete: http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/au ... ction.html
Press the Del key to delete it.
File menu > Export (to export the edited audio as a new file)

As this is the Audacity forum, I think that we can assume that forum users already have Audacity.
If the user wants to trim the MP3 with no sound quality loss, then they need to use an MP3 editor that can trim without re-encoding, which your on-line app does not do.
