Using Silence Finder in batch processing does not work

Hello,

I would like to use Silence Finder analyze tool in a chain, so I could process multiple file (I do not intend to automate truncation of silent sections).

I created a simple chain containing nothing but the “SilenceFinder” and the “- END -” command. When starting the batch processing (Apply Chain >> Apply to Files) the selected audio files are opened (and possibly analyzed) consecutively. However, at the end of the process I do not get any results. No plot spectra etc. are shown. Actually there are no error messages in the log.

Any suggestions on what I could do wrong? Thanks in advance.

I use:
Audacity 2.1.2 (2.1.2-102.7 from http://packman.links2linux.de)
openSUSE Leap 42.1 (Kernel Version: 4.4.0-rc4-2.g923c13b-default)

Silence Finder is not really useful in Chains because all it does is to create labels (see: http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/silence_finder_and_sound_finder.html#silence) but then you can’t do anything with the labels in Chains.
