Audacity audio position marker visibility help?

Hello all,
As per the attachment I will include with this post, I have an audio waveform in blue, on a grey background, audio position indicated by a black line. Highlighted area, not shown, is darker grey background. Audio position is still a black line.

There isn’t a heck of a lot of difference between audio blue and black, is there?

I changed the audio position to white with a little GIMP magic in the upper half of the top channel on my screenshot. I think were the audio background a darker color and keep the dark grey highlight background, the white audio position would stand out just a bit more.

What I need to know, if I go with a custom theme is the position on the master image for each item. Is there a how-to you can point me to? I’ve seen how the theme would be installed to start with Mint.

I am running Audacity 2.0.5, which came bundled with Linux Mint 17.3 MATE Desktop, 64-bit.

Showing in my screenshot, also is an apparent very slight offset downwards of the waveform, leaving the white background seen above and below the waveform when vertically zoomed out more that 100%. It shows on the left, top of the vertical zoom scale. Is there a fix for this or is this normal?

I am learning more about Audacity, having just learned to CTRL-leftclick Play to play before-and-after a selection to see how the file sounds with that selection removed. I was amazed at how easily I was able to get rid of a false start with it.

Noise removal does a beautiful job.

Nothing got attached.

2.0.5 is extremely old. It could be the reason for your vertical scale issue. You could uninstall 2.0.5 and install the 2.1.2 Ubuntu Handbook PPA .
