Audacity and Mandriva 2011 [SOLVED]

Moderator: Moved to GNU/Linux board

I have been using Audacity for many years under various versions of Mandriva Linux, and it has always worked fine. However, since using Mandriva 2011, it will only work first time after computer startup. After this if I click the record button, it will show the track areas, but recording will not start. If I stop and restart Audacity the same thing happens, the log then shows as follows:

14:45:21: Audacity 2.0.2

14:45:52: Error: Failed to get file system statistics (error 2: No such file or directory)
14:45:52: Error: Failed to get file system statistics (error 2: No such file or directory)

This error keeps logging until I shut down Audacity. If I reboot the computer, everything works fine first time round, then behaves as above. The error makes me think that it is tied up with the operating system rather than Audacity. Can anyone help?

Where did you get Audacity from - here
http://pkgs.org/download/audacity-2.0.2 ?

The official packaged release of Audacity for Mandriva 2011 looks like it was 1.3.13 (2.0.2 was only released a few months ago). Is 2.0.2 properly supported by Mandriva 2011?

Have you initialised Preferences http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/preferences.html#stored ?

Can you capture Help > Audio Device Info in Audacity, or does that freeze up?

Thanks very much, clearing the .cnf file fixed the problem
