Cannot locate session data

Hi,

I am trying to see if any session data saved from a crashed file, however whenever i look into the app support/ audacity folder, i never see files there. Instead i see a lock file entitled: audacity-lock-sarahmaclellan

I am on a Macbook air OS Sierra 10.12.6
My version of Audacity: 2.2.2

I have attached a screen shot of what i see.

If there is anything left over from a crash, Audacity will offer to recover it the next time it is launched.
