Acx plug-in not enabling...prompting error code

I know the Acx-check plug-in subject is a tired and long post but I have not been able to enable the Acx-check.ny plug-in. I run on OS Sierra 10.12.6 and Audacity 2.2.2, so when I try to enable the Acx plug-in I get this error:

"failed to register - ill-formed Nyquist plug-in header. As a note, I can run the Acx plug-in via Effects and Nyquist prompt but it won’t enable and appear under Analyze. Any thoughts on direction?

I can’t project what could cause a problem like this.
