I have problem whenever I try to apply a chain that contains an EQUALISATION Step.
Chains seem to work fine otherwise, but as soon as the EQ step is added to the chain, it crashes every time.
I am on OSX High Sierra 10.13.1
and Audacity 2.2.0 (both are fresh installs)
Anyone else have this problem?

This is due to a bug in Audacity 2.2.0.
Please try the new Audacity 2.2.1 RC1 which should solve this problem. It’s available here: https://www.fosshub.com/Audacity-devel.html/
Is this fix for the bug in Audacity 2.2.0 (the one referenced in this trail for 2.2.1) a safe site? I am having the same issues…so far, I have not been so impressed with High Sierra - it has caused me trouble with several pieces of software.

FossHub is the official download partner for Audacity. The link given is the official Audacity link for 2.2.1 RC1 (and soon to be RC2). Even so, it is recommended that you follow the advice on this page: Redirecting to: https://www.audacityteam.org/FAQ#is-audacity-safe-to-download (the “Sha-256 signatures” for the RC’s are available on the FossHub page).
Firstly, ensure that you really are using RC1 (look in “Audacity > About Audacity”).
Assuming that you are, what exactly is in the Chain?
Does the problem occur with one specific chain, or all chains?
Does it happen when applying the chain to one specific file, or any file?
