Nyquist Returned the Value: 1

Help for Audacity 2.x.x on Mac OS X.

ImageThis forum is for Audacity 2.x.x on Mac OS X 10.4 and later.
Please state which version of OS X you are using, the exact three-section version of Audacity from Audacity > About Audacity and whether you obtained the .dmg installer or the zip.

Audacity 1.2.x and 1.3.x are obsolete and no longer supported. If you still have those versions, please upgrade at https://www.audacityteam.org/download/.
The old forums for those versions are now closed, but you can still read the archives of the 1.2.x and 1.3.x forums.

New Interested User - Audacity 2.1.3 installed. MacOS Sierra 10.12.6 on iMac. 64GB.

Attempted to utilize multiple effects on multiple mp3 files, such as Low Pass Band filter, High Pass Band Filter, Vocal Reduction and Isolation - Remove Center and Isolate Center and Invert. ALL return a dialog box: "Nyquist Returned the value: 1". None of the desired effects were applied. I have reviewed the forum, FAQ, Tutorial and the Bugslist. I have not been able to understand what this dialog box means. I did select 'debug' from the dialog box and it looked like there was an unbounded condition.

Please advise

NOTE: I can split the stereo file and apply the invert effect.

Try running each of the effects manually, with the settings that you are using in the Chain. Which of the effects fails?
