HELP: Unable to Spilt Single Long track into Multiple Tracks

Hello, Audacity Community!

I’m having an issue taking one single, 46 minute, track (of either FLAC and M4A) and separating it into multiple tracks using Audacity’s “Expert Multiple”. As suggested on multiple online tutorials, I’m converting the tracks to WAV (although, no other media formate works, either) and, after only being to convert the first track (i.e, it only converts the first track), all that I get is a message stating “Cannot Export Audio to”. I’ve tried this process on another computer that I have and I only get the same response.

As an FYI, on either of my computers, I’m operating off of macOS Sierra and OS X El Capitan.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks in advance for any replies to my inquiry.

Kindly,

Oz

You don’t say which version of Audacity you are using. If it is 2.1.2 or earlier, Export Multiple will fail if a label contains the “/” character. Is that the problem? If so, change the “/” to something else.

Or you could upgrade to 2.1.3 which fixes this problem.

And please don’t double post. That causes no end of confusion.
