I just imported a live mix with a silent portion that I want to excise to Audacity. I select the blank area I want to cut, yet when I go to the edit functions, “Cut” is tgreyed out and inoperative. I downloaded Audactiy from the .dmg veresion.
You must have the playback in Stopped mode and not just Paused mode.
