wrong software provided with reshow audio usb cassete cap

Greetings:

After successfully installing the software for my recently purchesed reshow audio cassette capture device, I was directed to “open the software panel, click edit, and select preferences.” Then to "set the recording device to be ‘USB PnP Audio Device,’ and channels to ‘2(stereo.)’

The ONLY selections available on that pull-down are: “Microsoft Sound Mapper-Input”, and “Microphone (Conexant Smart Audio,” there is no “USB PnP Auidio Device” selection available.

Please advise!

Ensure that the USB device is connected before you launch Audacity.
If that does not fix it, please state which version of Audacity you are using. (The version number can be found in “Help menu > About Audacity”, and the current version is Audacity 2.2.2. If you have an old version of Audacity, you can get the current version via the Audacity website: https://www.audacityteam.org/download/)
