I’ve been trying to record a song on my laptop which runs windows 10 and I have audacity 2.2.2 but when I play what I recorded I’ve noticed the audio will give out on occasion. Never for long but it happens in the middle of words and it messes up the whole recording and I’ve tried to fix it buy lowering the sample rate etc etc but nothing works. I would like to not I don’t have a professional usb microphone I am currently using Apple headphones with an inline mic. I’m hoping it’s not the headphone but it very well maybe that. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Sounds like skipping.
Increasing the CPU-priority of Audacity from “normal” to “above normal” is worth a try,
(it lowers the odds audacity will be interrupted by other processes running on the computer).
