Help for Audacity 2.x.x on Windows.

Please state which version of Windows you are using,
and the exact three-section version of Audacity from "Help menu > About Audacity".

Audacity 1.2.x and 1.3.x are obsolete and no longer supported. If you still have those versions, please upgrade at

I'm a total novice ...I'm attempting a simple project. I am converting audiocassettes to mp3 format. All is going well except...every few seconds there is a recording's going to prevent me from being able to share my final product. Is there a way to be rid of it? Thanks...

Increasing the CPU priority of audacity from "normal" to "above normal" is worth a try ...
