Audacity 2.2.1 has been loaded onto a laptop with Windows 10.
As soon as “click to monitor” is engaged the computer speakers immediately produce Feedback, a reverberating squelch.
Changing from MME to the other options only changes the nature of the feedback.
Any thoughts?

No Job in action. Simply activating the monitor scale and noise/feed back is already being generated.
“Transport” menu. Turn off “Software Playthrough”.
Thanks, will give it a try. If no change will try different computer to see if it is internal.
Worked on 1st attempt. Thanks a lot, now I can try and learn to use this thing.
